Additionally, each bag is accompanied by a handful of pieces of amber and seashells from the Baltic Sea in the Courland Region (Kurzeme today). Courland! bags are made out of high quality European leather that comes exclusively from one of the last remaining leather tanneries in Germany except for a few individual pieces of leather from other European countries. We have chosen these manufacturers for their strict environmental policies and for being awarded the official environmental label “Blue Angel”.
Part of Courland! bags are made out of organically produced Blattwerk® leather that is tanned by the dried leaves of olive trees. This is a 100% sustainable tanning agent and good for health and the environment.
Courland! bags produced out of Blattwerk® leather carry a faint scent of olives so you can discreetly enjoy the feeling of being close to nature.
